IPTV Users are being warned by UK Police their IP addresses are being recorded after ANOTHER IPTV crackdown arrest in the UK.
IPTV providers had a tough time last year, when the Xtream Codes panel was seized by Italian authorities. And they may have thought that with major sports events postponed due to COVID-19, they would fly under the radar, with sports being one of the biggest reasons people buy subscriptions.
That was until yesterday, when several providers were claimed to have been shutdown. Across the web, in places like Reddit and other forums, people have been posting images of their IPTV services no longer working, and with a special message popping up on the screen.
YOUR IP ADDRESS IS : 220.127.116.11
STOP LEAVING TRACES, SECURE YOURSELF WITH A LIFETIME DISCOUNT OF $5
The message on the IPTV services states:
THIS ILLEGAL STREAM HAS BEEN SEIZED BY NORFOLK AND SUFFOLK POLICE.
WATCHING ILLEGAL BROADCASTS IS A CRIME
YOUR IP ADDRESS HAS BEEN RECORDED
YOU ARE INSTRUCTED TO CEASE AND DESIST IMMEDIATELY FROM ALL ILLEGAL MEDIA STREAMING
IPTV Warning from UK Police is fake?
When the news broke, many claimed it was fake, but since then, Suffolk police have published news that they did infact arrest an IPTV seller which alligns with this leaked image.
Earlier today, Suffolk Police did in fact confirm that a man was arrested in relation to illegal IPTV Streams. Whether the two are related, we don’t know. Maybe the provider in question did do a runner using this as a cover, maybe all the rumours yesterday about police seizing the service were true.
